Pain De Mie recipe will be your new bread recipe to try whether you are expert or beginner.
Pain De Mie is a French bread. "Pain" in French means bread and "De Mie" refers to the soft part of the bread, called the crumbs. Pain De Mie is most similar to sandwich bread.
This bread is so soft, unbelievably light, chewy and sweet but not too sweet. It's good with any fillings you add, like Zaatar, Labni, Peanut butter and jam, Cream cheese or Chocolate sandwich for your kids.

Pain De Mie
A Perfect Bread Loaf you can ever make. Pain De Mie, Or Sandwich bread recipe in simple ingredients and you get to choose the shape you want. The texture is so soft, fluffy, lightly sweet and chewy on the inside and crusty on the outside.
Ingredients:
1 tbsp. active dry yeast
2 tbsp. lukewarm water
2 tbsp. sugar
2 1/2 to 3 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup warm milk
2 tbsp. melted unsalted butter
1 egg, beaten (optional)
1 tsp salt
Direction:
In a 1-cup measure, stir together the water, yeast, and 1 tbsp. of the sugar, cover and let the mixture foam to the top of the cup.
Pour the yeast mixture into a large mixing bowl, I used food processor , add flour, milk and the remaining sugar, melted butter, egg and salt. Beat well until thoroughly mixed and until the dough pulls away from the sides of the bowl and the dough is shiny and smooth.
cover the bowl and let the dough rise until doubled in size, 30 to 40 minutes.
Divide the dough in half, and cut each half in 3 small pieces(equal size), flat each piece into rectangle (sheet) and then roll the piece as if you're making sandwich, lock it at the end and fold it in to a u-shape, make three like that and place them into loaf pan . Set aside and cover using baking sheets for about 30 minutes until the dough touches the baking sheet.(use parchment paper). DETAILED PICTURES:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Place the pan in the oven, covered with the baking sheet to keep the dough not pushing up the pan. Reduce the heat to 375 degrees F and bake for 30 minute. Remove the baking sheet and brush oil or butter lightly. Inver the pan on the baking sheet and bake for another 15 to 20 mins until the loaf sound hollow and feel solid tapped. Cool on a wire rack then slice it and enjoy.
