Sautéed Beet Greens
A side dish recipe for sautéed beet greens that is so nutritious and tastes so good. sautéed beetroot made from only 2 ingredients, beet greens and onions.
It's best to use beets greens within two or three days after refrigeration, and you can absolutely freeze them.
Beet greens are great for overall health. These green leaves are highly nutritious and loaded with vitamins, minerals, fiber and nitrates. It's one of the very low calories leafy-greens, fat and sugar.
Sautéed Beet Greens
Be sure to save these leafy tops of beets, they are so yummy and very nutritious.
Ingredients:
- 2 bunches beet greens, washed and cut into 2-inch pieces
- 1 large onion or 2 medium onions(sliced)
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- salt & pepper
Direction:
- Sautee the beet green for about 10 mins or until tender, and set them aside.
- Fry the onions in oil until they turn golden brown. Add cooked beet greens to the onions and flip them a couple times, then add salt & pepper and lemon juice and flip them again.
Serve cold with pita bread and lemon :)
