Puff pastry puffs into thin delicate layers as it bakes, making it perfect for breakfast pastries, appetizers and desserts. It comes together quickly to create an impressive and elegant tart.
Super Easy Tart Recipe:
Thaw: 40 mins
Prep: 20 mins
Bake: 15 mins
Impress your guests by making these simple individual strawberry tarts.
Ingredients:
- 1 sheet puff pastry
- 1 beaten egg
- 1 1/2 cup whipping cream
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 6-8 tbsp powdered sugar
- 2 cups sliced strawberries
- Cocoa and confectioners sugar for sprinkling
Direction:
- Thaw pastry sheet at room temperature 40 mins
- Heat oven 400 degree F. Grease the baking sheet or line it with parchment paper. Cut the sheet into 3 strips. Cut each strips into 3 rectangles.place them onto baking sheet and brush them with the egg wash along the border and bake for 15 minutes or until golden. Set aside to cool.
- For the filling: Add sugar,vanilla to the cream. Using electric mixer on high speed beat the cream until thickens.
- Spread 2 tbsp of whipped cream on each pastry.
- Top it with strawberries.
- Sprinkle first with cocoa, then confectioner’s sugar.
