Dates are an excellent source of fiber, sugar, magnesium, potassium, and have carbohydrates which will aid the body in maintaining health. While almonds contains lots of healthy fats as well, fiber, protein, magnesium and vitamin E. Who doesn't crave chocolate?..
Why we eat dates mostly during Ramadan?
Traditionally, dates are known as the food Nabi Muhammad ate when he broke his fast.
During Ramadan, when you fast from sunrise to sunset, the body can develop mild health problems such as headache, low blood sugar.
Dates have all the nutrients that will aid the body in maintaining health.
The idea of this recipe came to me last week, at the Mexican grocery store, they also carry Middle-Eastern Food. They come in a small bag and it wasn't cheap. So I said I can make my own and it will cost me less for sure.
You can have the chocolate almonds dates as a snack or to satisfy your sweet tooth, it's a great substitute of sugar. YES, I crave sugar a lot, but no more!!!. Well YES I can still eat them while I'm dieting but I eat only , it's high in calories but I still enjoy it.
If you're not fan of almonds you can replace it with walnuts or pistachios.

Step one: I had the dates pitted already, but if you don't, cut the dates and take the pits out. Place them on a sheet pan lined with parchment paper. Stuff them with 1 or 2 raw almonds.
Step Two: Microwave the semi-sweet chocolate chip , add the vegetable oil and stir regularly until the chocolate melted. Dip the dates in the chocolate and roll gently with a fork to coat the dates.
Step Three: Remove with a spoon and place them again on a sheet pan lined with parchment paper. Chill the pan in freezer for 1 hour.

Chocolate Almond Dates Recipe
Ingredients:
- 30 Dates
- 30 Raw Almonds
- 11/2 semi-sweet chocolate chip
- 1 tsp of vegetable oil
Instructions:
- Cut the dates and take the pits out. Place them on a sheet pan lined with parchment paper. Stuff them with 1 or 2 raw almonds.
- Microwave the chocolate chip for 30 seconds, add the vegetable oil and stir well. Pop them again in the microwave for another 20 seconds and stir regularly until the chocolate chips are completely melted.
- Dip the dates in the melted chocolate , and roll gently with a fork to coat the dates.
- Remove the dates from the chocolate and place them again on a sheet pan lined with parchment paper.
- Chill the pan in freezer for 1 hour.
