Today I'm sharing with you the most moist and delicious marble cake recipe.
Marble cake is a perfect balance between white cake and swirl of chocolate. I love chocolate, my kids love it too. You may choose strawberry instead or blueberry, whatever fruit you love.
Let’s hold on the recipe and talk a bit of the secrets I did to bake perfect marble cake:
1.make sure the oven is preheated before 20 minutes you pop it the cake in.
2.sift the flour, baking powder and baking soda. It will help combine them evenly before they are mixed with another ingredients.
3.mix well the sugar and butter or oil first till the mixture become white, and then add the eggs.
4.check the expiration date of your baking powder
5.add the flour mixture to the egg mixture(dry into liquid).
These 5 tricks, tips or secrets made my life easier. It let me stop buying cake boxes, it makes me bake cake every single week. I mean yeah It’s a bomb, it’s moist to the point you don’t need frosting. I promise it will melt in your mouth.
One more thing I did is I added Sour cream not milk or water. Yogurt will work the same, whatever available.
Why yogurt??
It will retain moisture after baking to help the cake be more moist .
Yes guys! It’s been 3 days after baking this marble cake, and let me tell you it didn’t get dry, and it’s still as fresh as if i baked it just right now. Just make sure to cover it well using the plastic wrap.
Chocolate Bundt Marble Cake
A delicious Chocolate Bundt Marble Cake, everybody will love it especially kids. It is perfect for any occasion . An easy recipe for perfect, moist and tender chocolate Bundt marble cake.
Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 1 1/3 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup oil or butter
- 4 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 cup sour cream or yogurt
- 1/4 cup cocoa
- 3 tbsp. water
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp powdered sugar for the top
Direction
- Preheat oven to 175 C (350 degree F). Grease the bundt pan and flour it well, and tap out the excess flour.
- In a medium bowl, sift the flour, baking powder, baking soda and add the salt. (Set them aside)
- In a large bowl, add the sugar and oil and beat them for 3 mins. If you are using butter, beat the butter first for 2 mins untill smooth, and gradually add the sugar and beat them until creamy.
- Gradually add the eggs and vanilla and beat for another 2 minutes until bubbly.
- Add the sour cream or yogurt and mix well.
- Gradually add the flour mixture to the egg mixture and beat on low until combined and smooth.
- Transfer half of the cake batter to the greased Bundt pan, and for the other half add the cocoa and the water and mix well.
- Add the chocolate cake mixture to the white batter, and take a chopstick or fork to create a swirl all through the batter.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45 to 50 minutes (use thin skewer or toothpick to test the cake, if you insert it into the center of the cake, it should come out clean, with no streaks of batter, a few small crumbs is OKAY)
Decorate the cake with sifting the powder sugar on the top
