Açai Bowl Recipe
It's the best filling and refreshing breakfast meal EVER!. Its "Açai Bowl ".
Açai is a south American palm tree producing small edible blackish-purple berries.
Açai is very high in antioxidants and fiber, it boosts skin health (prevent early signs of aging), and might help you loose weight and lower cholesterol.
How did I know about Açai?
Well, I was searching for ice cream places that serve different-unique looking. I found a place next to my house (Bowl Of Heaven), I didn't know they make Açai bowl, but I went and tried it and I fell in love with it. I can definitely see why they are popular.
BUT you have to see how much calories it has, some of them 400 calories, but of course I chose the lowest calories they have in the Menu. Since then, I started to look for Açai , I found frozen Açai puree and it's like 70-80 calories, and Açai powder 20 calories.
Mixing the Açai powder with the frozen fruits gives it a wonderful texture. To me, Granola is a MUST topping, it adds a little crunchiness , and I add whatever fruit I have on hand, I usually like kiwi and blueberry.
Let's get into recipe.
Açai Banana Berries Bowl Recipe

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup of frozen triple berry blend (Blackberries, blueberries and raspberries)
- 1/2 of frozen banana
- 2 tbsp. of almond milk (silk=25 calories)
- 1 tsp of Açai powder
- 4 strawberries
- 1 tbsp. granola
- 1 tbsp. shredded coconut
- blueberries
Method
- In a blender, or processor. Add the frozen berries and frozen banana .Mix until combined.
- Add the almond milk and açai powder, blend until creamy and smooth.
- Spoon the açai into a bowl, add sliced strawberries, blueberries, granola and coconut on top and serve immediately.
